Very expensive, but also very good. Only had the gelato and the lavender flavor was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. The chocolate not so much. That being said it kinda cost a fortune for gelato about 8€ if I am remembering correctly for two flavors or it was 8usd. For the right flavor I think it is worth it but the price point makes it hard to want to go back.

U’ll LOVE IT! Don’t miss it! If ur in Rome & u miss it > it’s a shaaame! Just around d most iconic central square > u absolutely need to drop by to put a crown of d magic moment ! Superb quality sophisticated engaging beautiful little jewels which melt in ur mouth like tasting a bit of heaven. => Special effect ??! >> Always puts a big smile on U - resetting even d worst mood 😁 D owners are real charming - u can recognise pretty fast that they’re doing this business as their real passion and really dedicated to create sg truly worthy - to sell at these prices - what some common users may be unfamiliar with - until! they try & immediately understand Why. Warning!!! Highly Addictive!! 😍😁

Not bad! I stumbled upon a delicious gelato hidden in an alley. 😍 I chose the Tonka flavor. I asked the old man for a chocolate pairing (since it looked like a chocolate shop), and he recommended a dark chocolate. If you're in the area, this shop is a must-try. Recommended.

The history of chocolate includes a chapter on Quetzalcoatl Chocolatier, a beautiful little gourmet chocolate and gelato shop in Rome. Located at Via della Carrozze 26, a few steps from the Spanish Steps, in the Ceatro Storico district, it is where the best of Italian and French meet. Now follow the bouncing ball. Chocolate was a beverage before it became a chocolate bar in a workshop in a monastery at the San Callisto Catacombs in Rome in 1880. The Trappist Monks' recipe gained acceptance at the Bordeaux Fair in 1896 and at the International Exhibition in Milan in 1906. Il Cioccolato Trappisti was founded and hazelnut and dark chocolate spreads were distributed in Italy and abroad. In 2018, the old chocolate factory was acquired by the Cioffi Ferroni Grasso family. Today, owner Jacques Olivier Petrillo offers a wide variety of chocolates ranging from dark to milk to white, gelato filled macaroons, chocolate filled with banana, pistachio, wine, coffee and gianduja, a type of chocolate paste with hazelnut from Turin. It's an elegant shop with classy presentations pralines, truffles, eclairs with caramel, Italian chocolate bars, macaroon glaces and tartufi bonbons with dark chocolate. And you'll find chocolates filled with ganache and flavored with limoncello liqueur, fig grappa, chili pepper, tea, lavender, basil and cinnamon. The store is open from 10 to 7:30 Monday through Saturday and 2 to 7 on Sunday.

The place is small but impressive for the quality of the products, chocolates, and ice cream, made right there. There's a variety of flavors and even dairy-free ice cream. We were served by the owner, who is an incredible gentleman—kind, attentive, and very friendly.

Simply -- The BEST ice cream in town, so light and naturally flavoured. I've been trying different gelatos and ice creams daily, well a couple times a day (hey, it's hot here this moment {98f /38c}) and Quetzalcoatl is amazing! The gal working the counter was friendly, but not overly enthusiastic. Chocolate...pure and clean with various accoutrements adding a twist for personal tastes. Price is average for high end chocolate, no more or less expensive than usual. Oh, and the macrons, nothing short of the ice cream or chocolate. A definite must stop when in Rome. I'll be back for more...tomorrow.

Antico Podere

28/09/2025: I went there with some friends, so the location was nice, a nice trattoria, with a minimum of space for children. It's okay. The food, I have to say, was excellent quality, except for the meat, and it was cooked perfectly, without a doubt. But the first courses were absolutely shameful. There might have been 60 grams of pasta on the plate, but it wasn't. The truffle carbonara was inedible, and the starters were a very meager platter. Prices were sky-high, the service was good, but the waiters were few in my opinion. But I repeat, the meat and the stoker were excellent, but the first courses were absolutely no-no.
14/09/2025: Beautiful location, with a lovely garden and a children's play area. Excellent cuts of meat, selected at the counter and grilled. Parking is available behind the restaurant.
