Cute small Ramen spot. Greeted and sat immediately. Had the tonkutsu and spicy Ramens. Pretty yummy. Broth was good.

Not sure why or how this ramen shop managed to get such a high rating, since the food was really quite average. I had the chashu ramen, there were some skewers and fish cutlets as side dishes, but nothing really stood out. The broth of the ramen was not rich, the noodles weren't anything special, and the chashu was kind of tough. It was the only place in Trastavere that offered ramen, so we decided to give it a try. Not a place I'd return to.

First time here as was staying in guest house next door Ordered chicken gyoza and chicken bits then beef Ramen Sapporo beer to help it down Must say it was very good. Well cooked and tasty Staff great Will go back next time here

Let me guess, you’re searching for a restaurant that can give you a break from the constant flow of Italian pasta and cheese. Well, I can confirm that this place is the PERFECT palette cleanser. The udon and other pan fried noodles are perfection and a welcomed new flavor profile after 20 plates of spaghetti. Everything made fresh in front of you. Highly recommend!!

Good place to eat something tasty and continue with daily activities. They have abundant and accessible dishes. All in a nice, clean and tidy place. They charge €4 for cutlery and table service. The attention of the staff is cordial and kind and friendly.

When they say you should never judge a book by its cover! The place is simple, without frills, but the tagliatelle and noodles are space-age and freshly made. The kitchen is open to view and you can admire the skill of the chef who prepares the different types of traditional pasta. The prices are very honest for being in the center of Rome. Absolutely recommended.

OK but we were expecting more from this little ramen restaurant. Ramen were ok but nothing stood out. Nice takeyakis. Not great sake (they ran out from the better one). Price was fair.

we had my mom’d birthday celebration at the place. it took them time to serve it…one meal per person at a time… it was kind of expensive too but the food was so good!!!!! they should have a family package deal. and the portions were little..

Ristorante Giapponese Genkai

04/10/2025: Tonight we discovered they've removed the all-you-can-eat option, which was exactly what we wanted. HOWEVER, we ordered seven dishes for two, water, and a Coke, and walked out in a hurry, paying less than we would have with the all-you-can-eat option. Don't let the traditional menu put you off. This restaurant is the only one in the Talenti area that offers authentic traditional Chinese dishes, in addition to everything else; it's where the owners really put their heart and soul into what they do. In addition to the quality of the food and flavors, the wait staff is extremely kind and welcoming, and the place is very cute and oriental. For what it's worth, I highly recommend trying it. You'll eat all you can eat, better than other places, and at very reasonable prices. 5/5
28/09/2025: The Chinese cuisine was excellent, especially the grilled ravioli and spring rolls. I didn't find the Japanese cuisine (especially the uramaki) to be good. They were too large, and the rice fell apart completely. The waitress was very helpful, but the service was a bit slow.
