PortaPradella In Mantova

My friend and I had a very nice evening meal here. We hadn't booked but they kindly fitted us in. The service was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had warm atmosphere and it seemed to be popular with the locals.

Fantastic local restaurant, super authentic and surprising regional dishes, definitely not a tourist trap.

We ate very well, the menu was varied and satisfying, also featuring typical local products.

We went to this trattoria for lunch after reading the good reviews and because it's close to the station. The owner is very friendly, "down to earth" as they say in my area. We had lunch in the outdoor area and I must say it was very pleasant (aside from the mischievous pigeons 😂). The food was good, with adequate and not excessive portions (which I personally prefer to avoid not finishing my meal). I appreciated the vases with beautiful, well-kept flowers. The restrooms are new, well-equipped, and decorated with numerous arrangements of good-quality fake flowers. I would have preferred to receive a receipt with detailed prices.

I walked in completely ignorant of Mantuan cuisine and asked the waiter to choose some for me, specifying only that I only needed to eat traditional dishes and the number of courses. I was rewarded with an excellent lunch! Vegetable fritatta, then nervetti with beans and onion, pumpkin and amaretti ravioli with butter and parmesan, and finally tenerina with zabaglione. Good food, satisfying portions, friendly and cheerful service. I hope to visit you again soon!

Delicious and beautiful! The place is beautiful, the food is truly traditional, and the waitresses are very knowledgeable and professional. They were very kind. If you want authentic Mantuan food, and more, at a fair price, this is the place for you.

We recommended this Trattoria on a Saturday evening just before 7:30 PM at the Bed & Breakfast where we were staying in Mantua. It was simply a fantastic experience. Of course, it was Saturday night and the Trattoria was full, but we were welcomed with the promise of having our table vacated by 9:00 PM. Courtesy and kindness were paramount, but the quality of the food and cuisine truly amazed us. The pumpkin tortelli were simply fantastic, as was the radicchio and gorgonzola lasagna. We were headed to the Dolomites, but on our way back we were tempted to stop in Mantua just to eat at this fantastic place again. The staff were EXTREMELY KIND!!! And the owner was courteous and the cook impeccable. We'll definitely be back... congratulations!!!
