PortaMarina Seafood In Sorrento

It’s right on the water in the Sorrento port. Food and service was excellent. It started raining and they were able to get everyone moved inside in minutes. And the owner loves to sing!!!

This place offers everything from flavor to view. Be sure to try the grilled octopus. It's superb.

We returned to Sorrento in two months for this restaurant. Marina Seafood, run by Rosaria and her family of fishermen. Good food, sunshine, and what can I say... we'll definitely try it again.

This review is difficult to write because Porta Marina Seafood has a very high rating and truly excellent service… but in my experience, the food wasn't up to par. The place is very pretty, quiet, and has a lovely view of the harbor. The staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt—you can tell they take great care of their customers. However, the dishes simply didn't convince me. I ordered gnocchi, and honestly, it was my least favorite part of the trip: the texture felt raw, not quite al dente. The sauce, however, was good and flavorful. I also tried the ravioli, whose filling was very well done, but the pasta had a somewhat odd consistency, as if it hadn't been fully cooked. I found the fish entree a bit dry, lacking that fresh, juicy note you expect from a waterfront restaurant. Maybe it was just a bad day, because based on the service, presentation, and reviews I'd read beforehand, I was expecting a much more well-rounded experience. Still, I appreciated the friendly service and the relaxed atmosphere. 💡 Helpful Tips: If you decide to go, order seafood or daily specials—they seem to be their strong suit. The view of the harbor is worth it, especially if you go before sunset. Make a reservation or arrive early; it tends to get crowded on weekends. 🍽️ Summary: ✅ Excellent service. ✅ Charming and quiet location. ❌ Inconsistent food. ❌ Poor textures on the pasta and fish.

The food is so delicious and the service is fantastic that even though Sorrento is overcrowded, it creates a family atmosphere. Of course, it's not exactly cheap...
