Posto caratteristico, in pieno centro, molto frequentato, buona scelta di vini e bevande, cibo così così. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi industriali di qualità medio-bassa, non quello che uno si aspetta per 20 euro. Molto buona la vela di pane con pomodorino e bottarga perché molto buona la bottarga. Bene ma non benissimo. Prezzi altini per la qualità proposta, servizio molto veloce come pure lo sgombero del tavolo, tacito invito a liberare il posto... ma questo si può capire.

for a little aperitif they give chips lots of very good draft beers super nice tavern atmosphere with the terrace. Well, the smile is not there, too bad three evenings in a row we were not entitled to a smile...but good, nice atmosphere all the same 😉

Had a great evening at Portale Botteghe. Good selection of Sicilian wines. Our bottle of BagglioOro was excellent. The dining menu had something for everyone. The restaurant is famous for their hamburgers… but as I am from the US, I had my sights set on a delicious pasta dinner. I ordered pasta with lobster and was surprised by the beautiful presentation. My wife’s pasta pesto dish was equally as delicious. Portale Botteghe is very family friendly. While the restaurant has plenty of tables, I do recommend arriving before 7:30 PM. The restaurant is extremely popular.
