Polpo Briao In Porto azzurro

Love the chill Ambiente and the great sailor style food with high quality products and extravagant twists. The polpo pasta is great!!

Nice place, more for a challenging aperitif than for a real dinner. Few dishes on the menu but well executed and tasty.

Refined and well-made dishes, but prices are too high

On holiday on Elba we decide to have dinner at Polpo briao. They don't accept reservations so I recommend showing up early. Beautiful location in a small street behind the Porto Azzurro Marina. Minimal tables both in terms of size and mise en place. We order two really good starters, followed by two second courses (there are no first courses). The briao octopus was also very good, then fried sardines with caramelized onion, raisins and pine nuts. A clarification is needed here... good dish but I would have liked to savor the whole thing but instead there were only 3 pine nuts and 1 raisin. So no! The negative part was the service... upon arrival a boy showed us the only tables intended for 2 people only to then see that other customers were also seated in pairs at the other tables. The wait was very long, 40 minutes, between the first course and the second. Finally, an observation... your restaurant bill is not only due to the food but also to the type of service and equipment you offer. 2 euro cover charge is excessive for what you find and therefore I rate the price of the dishes higher than it should be. I end with a note: water served in a 1/2 liter bottle for 2 euros is also not. From my experience, maybe a bad night, I don't recommend it.

Particularly tasty place more suitable for couples and young people than for families although we still had a good time. The prices are a bit expensive compared to the portions, but the very particular and quality food overlooks this aspect. Friendly, helpful and friendly staff. Located in a characteristic square, it made our last evening on the island very pleasant.

After 3 years from the last visit, a certainty is reconfirmed. Impeccable service, special background music, super cuisine. If there was a God, in heaven he would serve Tagliolini with tuna heart

Polpo Briao e' uno di quei posti dove tornerei altre cento volte! Ottimo il cibo, garbatissimi e simpatici i ragazzi che gestiscono il locale, ottima birra (la IPA al nero di seppia e' da urlo) Semplicita' e freschezza. Basta poco, che ce vo'? Diceva qualcuno...
