Today my husband and I went to the center of Modena for the Tyrolean markets, and given the long lines at the food stands and the somewhat "heavy" food, we decided to eat here. It was an experience we'd definitely repeat. The food was good, fresh, and reasonably priced. The location inside is a shame; it's very small, with only two tables and stools, but it was very cold outside, and the tables didn't have heaters. Kudos to the young man who served us... kind, helpful, and very quick with his preparations, truly brilliant! Recommended for a casual but delicious meal.

We had a poke, which was very good, with high-quality, fresh ingredients. One of the few, if not the only, poke place in Modena that stays open until after 9:30 PM.

Quiet place, although very small and crowded with raiders and customers. Very slow service. I had a regular poke, and the portion was much smaller than my usual size. When I asked for a fork to eat my takeout poke, I found myself with the fork wrapper but no fork. A real joke, I'd say!

13/02/2026: First time we ate very well, very good first courses and excellent quality meat, the girl who served us was very good and very polite, price for 3 with first courses, second courses, desserts and coffee 157 euros, fair... highly recommended... We will be back
26/12/2025: During the Christmas holidays, we were in Serramazzoni for a walk in the snow. Looking for a place to eat, we found this trattoria open and stopped in somewhat blindly, discovering instead a truly pleasant place with a wonderful Christmassy atmosphere. A special mention: dogs are allowed inside, a detail that alone deserves an extra point. We started with crescentine (a type of pasta) accompanied by cured meats and cheeses, followed by lasagna and cacciatore. All the dishes were excellent: the flavors of the homemade products and typical local specialties were clearly evident. The service was well-organized, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. In conclusion, if you find yourself passing by Trattoria del Gallo, definitely stop by to savor their cuisine. Excellent work.
