Pizzeria Viraf In Caserta

They did not speak any English but we got around. They were all really nice. And the food was really good!

Very good pizza, eaten such a good pizza very few times.

A place just outside the walls of old Caserta, on Sundays they don't have a fixed menu, but simply show up with a notepad and mention the dishes of the day, obviously without knowing the prices either in the order or in the final receipt. Which is something that many people do in old Caserta, given that no one has a menu on display. All in all I'm not complaining about the price we paid, €53, having taken a rich appetizer of cold cuts, thin slices, mozzarella, springs and other delicacies, I think the cost was around €15. a first course tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms (porcini mushrooms that are not very fresh or without flavour) €11, a trio of meat, very tender and good €15, half a local red wine €6, water €2, two place settings €4. The prices are fair for what we ate, but this does not justify not presenting a menu with prices.
