We were lucky to stay nearby and deciding to try the Vecchio Caffe' on a rainy evening. The pizza was a surprise, thick but airy, filling yet light. The aperitivo, based on locally distilled essences, also worth experiencing. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly reccommend if visiting the area.

Pizzeria in the center of Polcenigo. We stopped last night, after booking by phone. Just behind there is a parking lot with many parking spaces. Here they also make pizza in the pan, which is tall and soft. We chose the one on the shovel which is long and crispy. Very good dough and ingredients. Very good table service, with trained staff. The price, in my humble opinion is a little above average but it's fair, especially for the dough with a lot of leavening and very digestible. For two with two pizzas on the shovel, a bottle of water, a medium beer and a coffee. We spent €39. We will definitely be back.

This place must exist just to allow us to try the "Calzone Vecchio Caffè". Same care, same ingredients, same experience since the 70s. Personally, I suggest not asking for pizza and leaving the idea we have of the "calzone" as it is generally offered in pizzerias (a stuffed pizza disc folded into a crescent moon) outside the door of the restaurant. Here the calzone is something unique, worth trying if you love salami, mushrooms, cheese, cooked ham. Forget the mozzarella and tomato. Here the calzone is like this: salami, mushrooms, cheese, cooked ham. As well as a magnificent dough that pairs perfectly. I don't recommend tomato sauce put on top because it takes away the crunchiness. The egg, if you ask for it, know that it is not cooked completely, it remains soft-boiled, as long as you eat calmly, giving it time to firm up.

The pizza is excellent: light, well cooked and above all digestible.
The staff was very kind and the service was fast, without too long waits. A welcoming place where you eat well. We will definitely be back!

Pizza different from the usual ones. Smaller, but taller. Potato flour, instead of mozzarella it uses fontina cheese if I'm not mistaken. I haven't been there for years due to my own problems. But really good.

I believe that the original recipe for the famous, at least in the area, round pan pizza has been completely lost. It's been a while since I've been back but there's nothing left of the original pizza, the one from the old owner, which is a real shame, they've diversified the offer with other types of pizza but I can't say anything about that one having not tried it. Something to complain about the service too, usually the water is asked if it's ok from the fridge or room temperature and honestly the hot sparkling water isn't the best.

🇺🇦 I really liked it, I'm here for the second time, delicious pizza and beer. Cozy atmosphere. After dinner you can walk through the beautiful streets, or climb the mountain where the former castle is 🏰 The view of the evening and night city is incredible.

We were stationed at Aviano Air Base in the mid 90's. The food and service was absolutely amazing. Our favorite was the calzone. And we would get an after dinner drink, I think it was called a scorpini. My spelling may be incorrect. It was the best drink ever. A lemon flavored frozen drink. I would love to know the ingredients because we have never found anything like it in America.
