I'll just say one thing: don't believe the negative reviews. There are people with rotten hearts out there who slander you to create unfair competition. Come to this restaurant while there are still real restaurants.

I want to write my review because it deserves it and to help future customers. I found this place by chance, partly because of the reviews and partly because it's a given on the Fork. Let's start with the fact that the place is small but cozy, and there's even a fireplace for when it's cold. So it's always best to book. It's entirely family-run, and the owner, Donatella, is a force of nature. I opted, for my first time, to try the full menu. I'll say it right away: I was wrong! I was wrong because with just the appetizer, I was already full and satisfied! The platters of cured meats and cheeses accompanied by focaccia and homemade bread were delicious and super generous! Then the Bonarda risotto, delicious but one portion is enough for two, and the simple grilled meat... I swear the homemade dessert didn't make it. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the welcome, the courtesy, the quality, and the food. And with the Fork, the price is really reasonable. You can come without anything. It's a place from another era in a small town near Pavia. The pizza also looked plentiful and inviting; I'll try it next time! I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys home-made cuisine without frills. Nothing negative except the large portions, which is obviously a plus; you just have to be careful. A very pleasant evening.
A group of six, we ate so much. The owner was exceptional, both kind and attentive.
We tried the charcuterie board, which was very good, followed by the nervetti (veal sirloin steak) and tripe, both excellent.
We continued with six mixed grills, potatoes cooked in a wood-fired oven, five bottles of wine, I think six of water, desserts, liqueurs, and coffee...
The price was fair for everything we consumed.
At the end, she even gave us a freshly baked loaf of bread with grapes.
A truly wonderful evening.
Highly recommended.

Characteristic place, suitable for convivial lunches and even romantic dinners, pizzas need improvement in leavening and cooking, excellent toppings, cutting boards a little sparse.
