Pizzeria Tore In Calasetta

It says everything you need to know about the quality of the food that the only other tourists were Italian. This place does a bustling takeaway trade catering to locals, but also has a sheltered seating area outside (for the tourists!). We had a large Calasettana (tuna) (€8) and medium Vegetariana (€6) plus a medium portion of chips (€3). 20% was added, presumably for service and sitting outside. Tax was separate. €20 total was good value for the amount of food. I got the impression not many people order the Medium pizza—it’s only a little bit smaller than the Large, but we had enough leftover between us for a second full meal. There was more than one vegetarian option to choose from, plus I suspect that due to the turnover, the food here will be fresher than what was on offer at our hotel. I saw another review here mention that the speed of service, but that reviewer must have hit a busy moment. For us, it was exactly as expected for pizzas made to order. There was a constant flow of people using the takeaway counter, but of course, we don’t know what they ordered or if they called in advance. Our meal was good.
