Pizzeria Tonallo In Cisano bergamasco

The pizzas are excellent, the pasta dishes are average. The staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is a bit cold and impersonal. The acoustics are poor.

This time we stopped for a "quick" lunch. It was 1 pm and we had other appointments. We had not booked but in a short time, Pietro was an excellent restaurateur. We had a great lunch with pasta with radicchio, scaloppine in white wine, vegetables, chips and a glass of red wine in a cool environment. Everything perfect. Compliments.

It's a nice place...a little dated (80s) but clean. Family run. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

I had lunch there at Easter '25 with my family and in-laws; it's more of a place with a few years of experience behind it (70s/80s?), which offers local cuisine, simple and homely, but well made. The menu consisted of mixed cold cuts and goat cheese with polenta as a starter, asparagus crepes and Sicilian paccheri as a first course, roast leg of lamb with polenta and potatoes as a second course. Among all, the winner is definitely the crepella, but the starter is also excellent. I have some reservations about the lamb that I struggle to decipher, if only because I found (the only one on my table) some rather fatty and nervous pieces. To close, pistachio tiramisu - which despite some of my initial reservations (the classic tiramisu recipe is UNTOUCHABLE) was good. The service was good, even if the times between courses were quite long (understandable given the seats in the room). I will be back to try the pizza.
