The carbonara pasta dish was good, the view is superb. However, the staff is not really smiling or welcoming, I went there around 2:30 p.m. it may seem late but for a Sunday there are some who like to take their time, I was clearly disturbing. I also note the level of English a little complicated to communicate, they spoke to me in Italian even though I said I was French.

Porta Nizza is a rare find. We came across it today as we toured Ventimiglia old town. The restaurant has a stunning view of the sea, great food (I had escalope with champagne sauce & porcini mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 , my wife Shirley had Lasagne. I don’t normally have pudding 🍮 but they had Tiramisu - and I had to try that - best one I’ve had in years, my wife had chocolate cake which she said was delicious). I finished off with an espresso ☕️ which was nice & strong. Service was prompt and friendly and the entire experience was borderline magical
