Pizzeria Paradise In Orta di atella

Updated 2025: I removed a star. The pizzas no longer have the exclusive flavor they once had. The pizza that I used to rave about has become mediocre, given the reinterpretation of "a casa ra' nonna" (a la casa ra' nonna), and the quality/price ratio is very poor. Year 2023: One of the most popular contemporary pizzerias in Italy... a very welcoming place and obsessively set up for enjoying pizza. I ordered both the "ripassata" pizza with an old-fashioned ragù, the "ruota di carretto" Margherita, and the contemporary sausage and broccoli rabe. Giving a rating would be reductive, but something didn't really convince me, especially the latter. Michele in Naples remains inimitable. The four stars are for the lack of variety in the appetizers and for the dessert; there's much room for improvement. Be careful, go there at 7:30 PM; the place is very, perhaps too, busy.

Saturday night, the place was packed, but we were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The pizza was truly delicious. Congratulations.

The frittatas are good, but nothing exceptional. The pulled-fried ones are a bit cold inside, while the classic ones are far better. The dough is easy to digest and the ingredients are excellent, although the Capricciosa, in our opinion, was a disappointment. The wait is really long, more than half an hour on weekends. Reservations are not allowed. Prices are above average. Beware of the pushy valet, even if you park far away; don't let them get close. Finally, I recommend a cockroach extermination at the entrance.

The pizza is good, but the fact that you can't change the flavor is a flaw!

What a disappointment. Highly reviewed and regarded and a total letdown. The ingredients sound good….. look pretty good but taste is …. Bleh. No wow as you get with so many pizzas in the South ( we live here now. ). Sterile dining room and staff that lacks any care. Skip it and try another place. Too many good pizzerias around to waste time with a marginal one.

Sublime pizza... September 2025 even better

Highly overrated. The dough was average today, and the "winning" pizza was overloaded with poorly mixed ingredients. We ordered a frittatina, which arrived incorrectly and very late. The pizzas were also late, despite it being a weekday. We weren't even thrilled with the other pizza. The price was above average. The atmosphere was chaotic, with tables too close together. Loud music in the bathroom.

Truly excellent pizzas. Excellent quality. Great location and fast staff.
