Pizzeria Montebello In Ferrara

Young place but suitable for everyone. The staff is made up of friendly and above all prepared guys who know what they have to put on the table. My wife and I went there twice in the three evenings we had available. First evening: Exceptional pizza with a soft dough that satisfies both those who love true Neapolitan pizza and those who prefer it with lower edges. Second evening: tasting of cappellacci with pumpkin in all sauces (but the best is always butter and sage). Quick service, friendly and at the same time professional waiters. The only flaw? Don't live in Ferrara.

Everything was delicious, both the pizza and the Ferrarese cuisine, a real flagship for the city of Ferrara, quality raw materials, creativity in the dishes and a lot of friendliness. Qualified staff, excellent prices.

Excellent pizza, they also have lactose-free mozzarella, gluten-free pizza and a vegan option. On New Year's Eve the service was very fast and efficient.

Clean, bright, well-ventilated restaurant. Courteous, smiling, fast and helpful staff. EXCELLENT quality of raw materials which partly justifies the final price. Dough which is a cross between the Neapolitan and the more traditional Ferrara one. Digestible. Small but welcome welcome drink. Good craft beers. The price, in my opinion, is too high but the pizza is certainly excellent.

For dinner we went to a local pizza restaurant and had a superb pizza which was €11 for the two of us. So about half the price of a single delivered pizza in the UK. The menu had so many choices it was overwhelming for us and you could even choose the type of dough. Quite an eye opener and obviously a popular place as it was rather busy by the time we left.
