02/07/2025: Cantina Murales is a charming, family-run winery set on beautiful grounds, complete with friendly animals that add a fun touch to the experience. The wines were excellent, the food very good, and the staff both warm and knowledgeable.
They were especially accommodating when we arrived late due to traffic, and even offered kind, helpful local advice that improved the rest of our holiday. While we had to prompt for a bit more detail about the wines and process, their passion came through once engaged. A fourth wine in the tasting would have been a welcome addition.
The on-site shop was well stocked, not only with wine but also with a nice selection of local products. Overall, a delightful visit and well worth a stop in Sardinia.
28/06/2025: A place that quietly changed me 🥰
Cantina Morales is not just a winery. It’s something far rarer, a family’s soul poured into land, vines, and people. I came for a tour and tasting, expecting a pleasant experience. I left with a full heart and a quiet sense that something in me had shifted.
From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, not like a guest at a business, but like someone invited into a family’s rhythm. They gave me a tour, warm, wise, generous with stories. She spoke of how their wines are both experiments and expressions: a sparkling Vermentino made in the traditional method (in Sardinia!!), a Viognier shaped by sea breeze and sunlight, a Cannonau that blends early and late harvest for balance. Every wine had intention. Every pour came with a little bit of wonder.
But the part that undid me - after the tour, I decided to stay a while. Just one of those rare days where the light is perfect, and you don’t want to rush back into the world. They noticed I hadn’t eaten, and without asking, they quietly brought out a plate of bruschetta made with garden tomatoes. Later, a small plate of fried aubergines and zucchini appeared. No fanfare. Just care.
This isn’t service. It’s hospitality. The kind that asks for nothing in return, except maybe that you feel seen.
There were kids laughing, chickens wandering, farmers tending to the vines, life, as it should be. Grounded. Joyful. Connected. I drank wine made by people who love what they do, on land they live on, with stories they’ll tell you if you’re kind enough to listen.
If you’re anywhere near Olbia, don’t miss this. Come for the wine. Stay for the stillness. Leave feeling a little more human. 🥰
