Uncle Frankie is a historic place, a point of reference for the Aurelio-Boccea area and beyond. Try the very well-cooked and delicious pizzas and the meat-based main courses. The dessert platter is beautiful. The staff is attentive and very friendly.

A good osteria, not only fish, meat, and pizza, but also indoor and outdoor seating. The waiters were helpful. I enjoyed the appetizer, which three of us ate as an appetizer, and then we had the gricia, which I found a bit too peppery for my taste, but was good. The desserts were also good, accompanied by a bottle of Frascati. The atmosphere was quiet, and I'd like to return for the pizza. A business that's been around for over 20 years. We also took advantage of the 20 percent discount from The Fork. Compliments to all the staff.

I just couldn't pass up Frankie's Spaghetti with Clams in asparagus sauce with bottarga. There was an abundant clams, and I was surprised how light the sauce was. Bottarga were tiny dried fish eggs (roe) that made the sauce so savory. It was an unami experience tickling the taste buds. Hidden in the flavor of the sauce was the refreshing asparagus. The spaghetti was al dente; Italians know the right chewiness for pasta. Now I know I tend to over cook the pasta. Let's jump to their dessert platter. You just have to take a look and you wish you could have every piece of the sweet treats. You won't go wrong with any one. Get a group together and simply savor every moment of family time, friendship and, of course, food and fun. Never be pressed to leave. Italians take their time to eat, to talk, to love. My group went to Frankie's around 7:30 pm on a Thursday evening. We did not have to wait long. Other friends came in late and waited about 30 minutes.

I was there a few days ago, I remembered it as better, poor service, endless wait.

Excellent food and service! Good prices

It was absolutely delicious. This was probably the best carbonara I've ever had in my life, and it really brought home to me that Japanese carbonara is child's play. I'll be back.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant/pizzeria completely by chance last week. We were more than satisfied with the excellent bucatini all'amatriciana and other Roman dishes. Compliments to the chefs and staff at Zio Frankie from your Apulian and Brazilian customers.

Sono stata a pranzo domenica, con un gruppo di 55 persone, avevo parlato con la titolare solo al telefono e avevamo fissato menù e prezzo. Mi ero raccomandata di poter pranzare in tempi stretti perché dovevamo partire. Il servizio, il cibo , l'accoglienza tutto è stato sopra ogni aspettativa, tutto il gruppo è rimasto molto contento dei primi: carbonara e matriciana eccezionali. Ragazzi giovani sorridenti e disponibili. Complimenti ancora a tutti, dal gruppo di None. A presto

Ristorante suggerito da un’amica. Si mangia bene e non si spende molto. Buona la matriciana ed anche la carne. Ottimo il pollo ed il salmone. Da ritornarci.
