As soon as I arrived and we saw the menu I didn't know what to choose, in the end I had a carbonara.
The starters were delicious, chips, arancini etc...
When the carbonara arrived and I tasted it I felt like I was in space, I didn't like the environment very much but whatever.

Premise: if you are the type who pays attention mainly to appearance and refined environments, this place is definitely not for you!
The La Fenice pizza restaurant certainly does not shine in terms of aesthetics and is not easily identifiable on the road, as there is no sign (except a relic of it).
Upon entry it will appear like one of those unfinished and neglected country houses, but once inside, the rooms, although spartan, still appear tidy and clean.
Having said that, let's get to the substance where we instead found an unexpected and pleasant difference!
Let's start with the staff: all the staff are welcoming, thoughtful, kind and professional, regardless of how many people are present in the room.
In our case we had the opportunity to evaluate it in two circumstances, that is, an empty room during opening hours and a full room with customers waiting.
In both cases the staff has always stood out in satisfying the needs of each customer as best as possible, therefore our sincere congratulations go to them!
Let's get to the food: on both our visits we opted for the pizza which we really appreciated, as it was prepared with a good, well-leavened dough, topped with ingredients that weren't excellent but still of good quality and cooked excellently!
Obviously we also had the opportunity to peek among the courses ordered by other diners and among all, those that seemed worthy of note (after hearing the positive opinions) were the meat-based second courses, excellently served on pleasant cast iron trays and wood, so you can enjoy them piping hot... definitely worth trying!
To conclude, let's move on to the prices: really good in relation to the quality of the dishes and the service received.
The restaurant also has a large and convenient parking area and obviously accepts payments via POS.
From today when we return to Piana degli Albanesi (we often do) we can say that we have found another point of reference where we can enjoy something good and pleasantly served!

A few years ago we came with some friends from Piana to eat some good dry-aged meat and from that day on, given the quality and dedication that Matteo puts into the kitchen, we became regular customers.
We tried everything from dry-aged meat, pizza, appetizers, side dishes, pasta, dessert and there was never anything that wasn't of good quality or that we didn't like.
Cherry on the cake? The friendliness and professionalism of Matteo and his staff.

Personale gentilissimo, professionale ed attento, oltre che cordiale. Cibo ottimo e in linea con i prezzi. Abbiamo passato un'ottima serata, mangiato bene e siamo stati a nostro agio, come fra amici. Ottimi spaghetti alla carbonara, squisito l'arrosto panato con verdure grigliate preparate a dovere e con olio locale aromatizzato. Che dire dell'antipasto : tagliere di salumi e formaggi........esagerato e di qualità. Grazie di cuore, torneremo presto. Antonio

Very kind, professional and attentive staff, as well as friendly. Excellent food and in line with the prices. We had an excellent evening, ate well and felt at ease, like among friends. Excellent spaghetti carbonara, exquisite breaded roast with properly prepared grilled vegetables and flavored local oil. What about the appetizer: platter of cold cuts and cheeses........exaggerated and of high quality. Thank you very much, we will be back soon. Anthony

I know Matteo, the owner and pizza chef! for at least 30 years, what can I say, top pizza is never denied even if today I ate a nice Florentine... friendly staff, quick and helpful, I highly recommend them
