10/09/2025: THE FIREPLACE...
With such a welcoming name, you expect it to warm your heart and stomach... and indeed, they do, even if the bill at the end leaves you feeling a little burnt 🔥💸.
The food? All good, no complaints, but a bit pricey for what you get.
Wow... then you order one thing and in the blink of an eye, without warning, a different dish arrives.
Meanwhile, the SPACIOUS CHEF Nazzareno wanders among the tables with his unmistakable hat, ready to challenge anyone, just like me, who loves ordering green beans.
Would I go back? Yes, but this time we'll go straight for a first course, without hoping to satisfy ourselves with a nice portion of sea bass or sea bream. No surprises, no burning fireplaces... you know what? The wallet.
22/08/2025: A classic restaurant with a modern culinary offering. The chef, the owner, is remarkable, always lively and never tired. The quality of the ingredients is undeniable, the presentation excellent, and the quantities modest. The service is fast and attentive (all the men are very smiling and friendly, except for the woman taking the orders, who was truly lacking in empathy and, above all, wrote the orders down on a PDA, which is unheard of in a restaurant of this caliber) and runs like clockwork, also thanks to the fact that, despite it being Sunday lunchtime, it wasn't busy. It's a shame that the tableware was truly entry-level, as were the coffee cups. The wine list is remarkable, with a wide selection of whites and bubbles, including French ones with slightly exaggerated markups of around 300%; also thanks to the walk uphill to see ancient Terracina, after an hour I was hungry again 😅. Good luck and see you next time.
