31/03/2024: Historic shop founded for three generations, located in the center of the city. The pizzeria is managed by Pino, owner for almost twenty years who, despite his young age (almost forty years old) has completely revolutionized the concept of "simple pizzeria" by the slice. The specialties that distinguish Bella Napoli are different, not many but truly of quality: pizza margherita alla pala, tielle gaetane stuffed with fresh seasonal products and typical local sweets.
The element that unites everything is respect for the simplicity of processing, which follows the traditional natural leavening with mother yeast, and the use of quality raw materials.
In addition to the margherita pizza and the tielle, the following are excellent: bread, both white and wholemeal or with yellow flour and flavored with walnuts and olives; focaccias and white pizza scones; in winter the casatielli, Neapolitan sandwiches and ciuvarejie (sandwiches with meat cracklings and pork lard); jam tarts; the typical Fondane desserts such as torteni and at Christmas panettone, at Easter the colombe, both with candied fruit and pieces of dark chocolate, the Neapolitan Pastiera apparently imperfect but which demonstrates all its genuineness and purity, the true essence of typicality and respect for recipe.
There is no shortage of other representatives of Neapolitan cuisine: Easter cake, casatiello, Neapolitan sandwiches and more, all in the name of a good treat-triglyceride ratio (but let's make a mistake from time to time!). Delicacies!
Upon reservation, Pino also prepares buffets for events, with respectable fried foods and small snacks.
A very simple location with few seats, but which offers high-level gastronomic satisfaction. Very cheap prices! Closed on Thursdays.
