A very pleasant hotel. Yes, it's a bit further from the city center, but it's very conveniently connected by tram and bus. The reception staff was very friendly. We started our trip on my birthday, and they greeted me at the reception desk – that was very kind. And at check-out, I received a gift of Tuscan wine – thank you very much – Hotel Alex knows how to take care of guests. The rooms are spacious and very bright, with a large bathroom and balcony, intuitive air conditioning and TV controls. The small, cramped elevator is a fun touch. Breakfast is typical Italian, but not only sweet; every day there was ricotta and mozzarella, tomatoes, mortadella, yellow cheeses, fruit, drinks, croissants, and other pastries. The coffee was fantastic. We highly recommend it and will return someday.

Comfortable, clean place with an excellent breakfast. Although far from the center, the metro station is 5 minutes away, and the center of Florence is a 20-minute ride away.

Great location, close to tram and bus stops. Very friendly and attentive service. Parking is available; it's worth booking in advance, especially if your car is a bit larger. The room is small, but has a balcony. It was spotlessly clean. Breakfast, as I'd say by Italian standards, was plentiful and delicious. For a short stay (1-2 nights), it's worth taking advantage of.

Hotel Alex is a pleasant discovery. Despite its simplicity, it offers so much: extremely helpful, kind, and courteous staff, impeccable cleanliness (really, super-clean), and a complete breakfast, with sweet and savory options, that pleases everyone and features quality products. The location is very convenient, with the tram stop just steps away for easy access to the center of Florence. A lovely and welcoming hotel that I definitely recommend!

The price-performance ratio isn't right at all. You'd expect more for the price; the rooms were showing their age. Breakfast was okay. The guy at check-out was very arrogant.

Spacious, simply furnished, and air-conditioned room. Thanks to the large windows, the room is very quiet. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and bidet. Everything is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is available in a fenced area for ten euros. The hotel is ideally located, as the train station can be reached by public transport (tram) in a quarter of an hour, and the cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore) and other sights are a further ten minutes' walk away. Ideally, tickets can be purchased at the kiosk opposite the hotel. They are valid for 70 minutes once stamped. The breakfast buffet isn't huge, but it has everything you need. The buffet is beautifully and attractively presented.

Well located and reasonably priced, this is a great place to stay in transit from Rome to the North. It's not that close to the historic center, but close enough. There's a bus stop about 500 meters away that takes you there. It's an old but well-maintained hotel. The breakfast is decent, and drinks are served by baristas. There's paid parking on the back street.
