08/05/2026: In the heart of Genoa's historic center, right in front of the splendid Romanesque church of San Donato, this pizzeria is a must-try. The restaurant is quaint and welcoming, with a pleasant outdoor terrace in the square offering a relaxing spot among the alleys. It's only accessible on foot, but it's worth the walk.
The pizza is truly excellent: thin, well-cooked, and crispy dough, generous toppings with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The menu offers a wide variety, including seasonal options. The options for specific needs are highly appreciated: gluten-free dough, yeast-free base, multigrain dough, hemp dough, and the option of vegan cheese—finally, a pizza that's also good for those with lactose intolerance. Desserts are top marks, with the house tiramisu definitely worth a try.
Service is generally friendly, efficient, and fairly quick; on busy evenings or with large tables, distractions or slightly longer waits can occur, so reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Prices are fair, in line with the quality and location.
In short: excellent pizza, a charming location, and delicious desserts; mostly attentive service (with a few obvious glitches when it's busy). Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back.
20/04/2026: They let us in even though we arrived late, the pizzas were delicious, the service was good, and the toilets were clean, but they charged an extra service fee.
