Pizzeria Da Gisa In Carloforte

I recommend anyone who wants to eat an excellent farinata and a good pizza to come to Gisa... excellent service and hospitality

Historic pizzeria....I practically grew up with them....first Gisa's father, whom I never met, then Gisa and her husband, whom I met, then Angela and Giusy, Gisa's daughters....who today maintain the family tradition....in every way....both the positive aspects (the goodness of the products) and the negative ones (seize the moment or you'll never find anything left to eat)....

We came to Gisa's because we were curious to try Carloforte's famous farinata. Gisa's is one of the most famous and popular pizzerias in Carloforte, so we absolutely had to try it. We arrived around 7:00 PM and there was already a pretty long line. At this place, you can order pizza by the slice: margherita, red pizza without mozzarella, and farinata. The lady who cuts the pizza and farinata and prepares the trays is very kind and prepared us a portion of pizza with margherita, a red pizza without mozzarella, and two portions of farinata, one to take away and one to eat right away, fresh from the oven. Needless to say, it was really good, and in its simplicity, it's truly worth a try. If you find yourself in Carloforte, I recommend stopping by, standing in line, and trying the farinata—you won't regret it!

The place is very basic; it's hard to find a seat due to the limited space, but you can order takeout. Being just passing through, I had to adapt, but I absolutely recommend the delicious farinata.
