In addition to the delicious pizza and farinata, a couple of details struck me favorably: they found room for a decidedly bulky stroller despite the place being very crowded and, having requested only one portion of farinata and two portions being brought to us (consumed without problems, however) when it came time to pay the bill they only counted one. Great move!

Gino, an institution in Turin. It has been churning out pizzas and farinatas since 1935, almost 100 years. Let's start with the farinata: the best farinata I have ever eaten. Crispy at the right point, tasty, greasy at the right point. Next, the pan pizza: it is a typical Piedmontese pizza made in a small pan, so it is smaller than the classic brick pizza. Crispy, tasty, with a soft dough and at the same time cooked to perfection. It rightfully enters my personal top 3. Let's get to the desserts: the crème caramel I got was really good. All for a fair account. The food is good, the atmosphere is that of home and you almost feel like you are in your grandmother's kitchen. It rightfully enters my top 3 Pizzerias in Turin.

If you want to eat excellent farinata you absolutely must go to Gino, an old Turin pizzeria located in the San Paolo district. You cannot book and from the moment it opens you will always find a queue, don't be discouraged, give your name and you will be called within no more than 15/20 minutes. The farinata is thin, very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and is absolutely not greasy. Unforgettable

Era da tanto che volevamo provare la farinata e la pizza al padellino di questo locale storico torinese; anche andando più sul tardi era davvero affollato, con quell’odore e calore tipici delle pizzerie di una volta. Nonostante l’attesa per sederci, il servizio è stato poi molto veloce, le pizze piccole ma gustose, e anche la farinata. Non siamo rimasti delusi!

Se sei di Torino ma non sei mai andato da Gino ti manca un pezzo importante. Io, amante della pizza napoletana classica, vado quando riesco (e quando non c'è troppa coda) a mangiare la farinata ed il tegamino classico insormontabile da loro. Locale storico, semplice e sa di casa con il servizio "familiare" a servirti qualità.
