Pizzeria Al buco In Bologna

The place has remained unchanged over the years, but, let me tell you, that's its beauty. They only have one type of lager on tap, but it's really good and pairs perfectly with the pizza. The pizzas and pizza sandwiches are extraordinary, delicious, and completely digestible...and this is written by someone who often has problems eating pizza in the evening. The only downside is the strong smell of fried food that lingers on your clothes, and this is a real shame because coming home and having to put everything in the laundry, including your jackets in winter, is not pleasant. I advise the owners to turn on the extractor hoods, clean them, or, if necessary, replace them, because it's an inconvenience not to be underestimated. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about; you eat very well for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Excellent pizzas, large and quite thin, in a characteristic and deliberately kitsch atmosphere.

The smell of fried food permeated the restaurant, filling everything and everyone. The waiter was very kind and helpful, and the pizza was good. The room was cool; we were cold even with the radiator turned up to full blast.

Unfortunately, compared to the previous management, the current one still needs to fix a few things: the pizza rolls aren't very hot, the service is friendly but very slow, and the atmosphere is decidedly cold. It's difficult to compare it to what "Il Buco" had accustomed us to.
