17/12/2025: I had dinner at this agriturismo. Welcoming location, traditional live music (there was a gentleman with an accordion). The menu was good but not excellent. Three first courses were good. The mixed second courses were so-so. The fried gnocco was very greasy, barely edible. The spare rib was tasty but rather lean. The meat and potatoes were okay. The dessert was a sort of Carnival chiacchiere filled with berry jam, not bad but nothing special. The atmosphere was pleasant. With a glass of wine and a glass of apple juice, the total bill was €37, which I'd call a good price. There were only two of us, though.

01/11/2025: Anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the taverns directly on the Chestnut Trail will find themselves in good hands here. On All Saints' Day (November 1st), I was hiking with a group of 12 friends from Brixen towards Feldthurns. By chance, we discovered the Obermoserhof, nestled into the hillside just above Schnauders. Due to the holiday, the selection was limited to two soups and four main courses, but every single one was absolutely delicious. Whether it was the Tris (a traditional South Tyrolean dish), Blatt'l (a type of potato pancake), Hauswurst (a homemade sausage), or Schlachtplatte (a mixed meat platter), you could immediately taste that someone in the kitchen knew exactly how to prepare South Tyrolean dishes. To finish, we had Krapfen (a type of filled doughnut) and Auszogne ​​(a type of fried pastry) filled with plum jam. Complemented by consistently friendly service, the Obermoserhof impressively demonstrates that sometimes less is more. ... We are already looking forward to our next visit to South Tyrol and a stop at this farm tavern.
