This evening I went to dinner at Piedigrotta, a white pizza with mushrooms and fresh artichokes... excellent, a must try... I paid well-deserved compliments to the pizza chef Antonio on duty on Tuesdays.

I had lunch today, Sunday, following the menu suggestions: first course, second course, dessert, coffee and liqueur, for 14 euros with very attentive service in a comfortable setting.

I booked a table for 8. The service was impeccable and very fast. The pizzas were delicious, thin crust and generously topped. The prices were excellent. There was an error in the final bill that was corrected immediately with profuse apologies. So, 5 stars without any ifs or buts. If we return to Genoa, this will be our go-to pizzeria.

The prices here are truly excellent, and the menu is truly affordable. The dishes aren't Michelin-starred, of course, but they're very refined. The pesto is good, the pasta with sauce perhaps a little less so, but the fish and potatoes were excellent. The atmosphere is informal, as you'd expect.

07/12/2025: Refuge excellent availability top polenta🔝
15/09/2025: Excellent bar in Prato Cipolla where you can also eat. I've personally tasted excellent polenta with cheese, tomato sauce, etc. The meats are excellent, and I've seen they also make sandwiches. The draft beer is also excellent.

Ristorante Trattoria La Lanterna

06/01/2026: We had dinner last Saturday and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the dishes. The dinner was mostly seafood-based, with gnocchi with clams and calamari, trofie with pesto, grilled calamari and breaded anchovies, and tiramisu... everything was superb, congratulations!
03/01/2026: Perfectly suited to my tastes and budget. The atmosphere is informal (beautiful paper tablecloths, a chalkboard menu on the wall, and a friendly and courteous manager). Good food, generous portions, and reasonable value. I highly recommend it!
