Located in the historic center, a stone's throw from the cathedral and overlooking a tranquil waterway, it offers an elegant, understated, and impeccably maintained atmosphere. I was greeted with kindness and great professionalism, thanks to the friendly and helpful service, and I immediately felt at ease. The staff is attentive, empathetic, and never intrusive. The dishes masterfully combine tradition and creativity: the vegetable appetizer is surprising, with its extraordinarily delicate eggplant. The kitchen offers carefully reinterpreted traditional dishes, showcasing authentic flavors to the fullest. The first courses deserve a special mention, especially the traditional Campagnano ones, which are truly excellent. The price is right: top quality at a fair price, a real surprise!

The food is good and well-curated, but nothing exceptional. The place is clean and quiet, dimly lit. In my opinion, a significant flaw is the lack of a menu and the inability to see the prices and ingredients. There's no way you can't browse the ingredients, foods, allergens, and prices. I also recommend providing receipts. The food is good, but I wouldn't return.

Everything was really excellent

A well-kept and very clean restaurant, with a refined and relaxing atmosphere, and soft music that creates a pleasant atmosphere. The first course was good, although the portions were rather small. The second course was excellent, well-presented and tasty. The wine was decent but served at the right temperature. The price was quite high for the amount consumed. We're not sure if we'll return. 4 stars for the owner's friendliness. An excellent host.

Bisogna sempre tornare nei restauranti buoni per vedere come stanno andando le cose. L'Osteria Zena in Campagna è uno dei posti assolutamente da visitare in tutta la Campania. Una cucina minimalista squisita e indimenticabile. Verdure di estrema delicatezza, melanzane provenienti da un altro pianeta. Potremmo scrivere pagine e pagine, ma è meglio se vieni a provarlo. Pasquale e famiglia si occupano del vino e del resto. Un luogo di culto per ii palati più raffinati.

In una gita domenicale poco lontano da casa nostra ci troviamo nella bellissima cittadina di Campagna (Sa), un centro storico stupendo attraversato da un fiume, tra i vari locali abbiamo deciso di pranzare presso PICCOLA OSTERIA ZENA, una piacevole sorpresa è dire poco, un locale a conduzione familiare, dove il proprietario ci ha accolto piacevolmente e con molta gentilezza anche perché non avevamo prenotato. Ci siamo accomodati e subito notiamo una sala molto curata e pulita, abbiamo scelto di iniziare con l'antipasto e subito capiamo che nelle varie portate avevamo a che fare con prodotti di vera qualità, accostamenti semplici ma geniali e gustosi, che rispecchiano la tradizione campana e soprattutto tipiche del posto "davvero squisito il Sottoposto di Melanzane"....Passiamo ad un assaggio di primo, "Matassa con Fagioli", un primo tipico del posto, subito non possiamo non notare che la pasta è fatta a mano, una ricetta semplice come può sembrare una "pasta e fagioli" ma che racchiude nella sua semplicità un piatto di vero gusto...davvero da assaggiare e da consigliare....una proposta di primi varia e tipica...per secondo scegliamo una bistecca ai ferri con patate, possiamo dire solo "Squisita", qualità della materia prima davvero grandiosa, cottura perfetta, viene servita su un tagliere in legno davvero molto molto carino. Chiudiamo il pranzo con una pastiera davvero squisita e ben fatta...Che cosa possiamo dire..fare i complimenti ai proprietari che ci hanno offerto un'esperienza culinaria eccellente...abbiamo avuto a che fare con persone davvero ben educate che ci hanno accolto con empatia e gentilezza senza essere troppo invadenti con un servizio preciso e attento...qualità del cibo davvero eccellente, anche il conto finale è stato davvero sorprendente per quello che abbiamo mangiato (ringraziando ancora il proprietario per lo sconto che ci ha applicato).... CONSIGLIATISSIMO! Ci torneremo sicuramente!

On a Sunday trip not far from our home we find ourselves in the beautiful town of Campagna (Sa), a wonderful historic center crossed by a river, among the various places we decided to have lunch at PICCOLA OSTERIA ZENA, a pleasant surprise to say the least, a family-run place, where the owner welcomed us pleasantly and with great kindness also because we had not booked. We sat down and immediately noticed a very well-kept and clean room, we chose to start with the appetizer and we immediately understood that in the various courses we were dealing with products of true quality, simple but ingenious and tasty combinations, which reflect the Campania tradition and above all typical of the place "the Eggplant Subposto is truly exquisite".... Let's move on to a tasting of the first course, "Matassa con Fagioli", a typical first course of the place, immediately we cannot help but note that the pasta is handmade, a simple recipe as a "pasta and beans" may seem but which contains in its simplicity a dish of true flavour... truly worth tasting and recommending.... a varied and typical first course proposal... for the second course we choose a grilled steak with potatoes, we can only say "Exquisite", truly great quality of the raw material, perfect cooking, it is served on a very very nice wooden cutting board. We closed the lunch with a truly exquisite and well-made pastiera... What can we say... congratulations to the owners who offered us an excellent culinary experience... we dealt with really well-mannered people who welcomed us with empathy and kindness without being too intrusive with a precise and attentive service... truly excellent quality of food, even the final bill was truly surprising for what we ate (thanking the owner again for the discount he gave us).... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We will definitely be back!

An experience to relive. We were welcomed with a smile in an intimate and elegant environment where you immediately felt a feeling of tradition and innovation. Excellent food but everything was seasoned by the friendliness and the many attentions we received. There is little to say: people always make the difference and in this case it is the people who add another star to the five.
