The place is very characteristic, we had lunch here and we were downstairs, former cellar: cool room and fortunately not too full of tables....
The waiters are all always smiling and very kind guys, the chef comes into the room to bring the dishes he has just prepared.
The prices are more than fair compared to the taste and the portion that is served, so I highly recommend trying these delicacies!!!
We had a mixed antipasto of cold cuts, peposo dell'impruneta and sliced scottona, baked potatoes (absolutely to try, they are divine!!) wine water and cover charge 88€

Great place with delicious food! We took three plates + a pitcher of the red house wine + sparkling water, and we paid around 50 € for two. Best restaurant we went to in Florence!

We ate here a few times as our hotel was down the block. Outside is fun, but the downstairs room dates back to the 1080's, once part of the Chiesa di San Niccolò (next door). Is it cool dining in a medieval undercroft that's ~1,000 years old? Sì, sicuramente! Every dish we had was good or great. Carafes of house wine are nicely priced and just fine for dining. The Ossobuco alla Fiorentina is amazing.

As good Florentines we certainly recommend this place with high quality typical Tuscan cuisine and super friendly service. Excellent prices. Top location in San Niccolò, the historic Florentine district.

Wow—what an incredible meal and overall experience! If I had one minor critique, it would be that the bread was a bit bland. That said, everything else was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the house red wine, and if you order just one thing, make it the roasted potatoes—they were insanely good!
We had the Florentine steak, and it was fantastic. Don’t be put off by its thick, rare appearance—it actually tastes like a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak and is incredibly flavorful.
Overall, a truly memorable dining experience!

One of the last true Florentine trattorias... excellent food, wine ...and excellent service, and reasonable prices. Top boar pasta... very soft and tasty roast pig... and prisoner's pan... yum. It's always a pleasure to stop and eat... thanks guys...!!!

A very atmospheric place, you can totally feel the Italian atmosphere. We ordered pasta, they were delicious. Appetizers - also. I will add that the prices are relatively low for such large portions. Good, home-made wine. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that we were ignored at the entrance. There was a lot of traffic and it was obvious that the waiters really cared about us finding a seat 😊

Enjoyed 2 very good dishes - spaghetti & pici in tomato sauce with roasted potatoes as the side. Food was very tasty and well cooked.
Service was pretty bad. Was offered a table only outside which was wonky and slanted. An 'old' waiter who came after 20 minutes to take our order wasn't friendly or welcoming. After the mains, nobody came for another 20 mins to take our order for dessert or coffee. When I prompted, I was told they ran out of Tiramisu and it was closing time by then.

Very good, perfect Tuscan food, starting from the appetizers and ending with the lampredotto. Service provided by young, fast and very nice guys. For being in the centre, practically not even too expensive.
