We stayed in a residence not far from the fish market, and the manager recommended this place to us. Over our 8-day vacation, we ate there at least 4 or 5 evenings because we had such a great time. The fish was excellent, fresh, and well-cooked. From appetizers to main courses, there's not a dish I wouldn't recommend. The owners were truly friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful (and especially dog-friendly, which isn't a given). If you're in the Zambrone area (a 10-minute drive from Tropea), go eat there—it's worth it!

Excellent seafood restaurant, a little out of the way, but once you find it and try it, you'll gladly return. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the menu varies depending on the catch. Very fair prices.

Fish restaurant, the name is clear enough and the dishes ordered were of high quality, very fresh and tasty. On the other hand, limited choice of drinks and no coffee. Not a big deal but it's good to know. Overall, a great place where I will return on a future trip.

This restaurant serves only fish and only what was cought that day. No desert and no burgers only sea food. The staff is friendly. The fish was fresh and not farmed, you will notice it straight away. Even skin tastes good. Price is avarage, but if you want to eat fish you will pay more in the city for less quality. I wanted to give 4 stars because I came only for the fish brodet or fish gulas, but you have to order 1 day in advance and there was no information about that not on internet not by phone reservation. But I will give 5 stars for excellent meal. Calamari was not from Patagonia, shrimp also not. Go there and don't spend your money elsvere if you want to eat good fish. Picture is grilled fish mix orada, tuna, shrimp, squid and garfish. Enough for one person.

In Zambrone, you can't miss the dishes at this fish restaurant, with friendly, helpful staff and tasty dishes. "Voglia di mare" has been a regular stop for years. Well done!! Nicola

Exceptional place, the food was excellent, obviously all seafood-based and excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The price was excellent considering the quality. For an appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, and two bottles of water, we spent a total of €79. Highly recommended.

09/10/2025: A rejuvenating experience! We had the pleasure of being treated by Tiziana and Raffaella, and I can only express my gratitude for their professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness. Tiziana is extremely competent and exudes calm and confidence from the very first moment. Raffaella's precision made every treatment a true moment of well-being. The environment is meticulously maintained, clean, and relaxing: you feel pampered and at ease. I will definitely be back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place to pamper themselves in expert hands.
03/09/2025: My wife and I vacationed in Calabria and chose to stay at the Popilia Resort, unfortunately only for one night. The location is wonderful, immersed in nature and offering complete relaxation. You can go for bike rides, long walks, or visit the gardens, lake, and animals. It's ideal for families, couples, and everyone. The pool is beautiful, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast and the entire restaurant menu are fantastic.

Incipit Restaurant

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏
