27/07/2025: Excellent seafood cuisine and a peaceful atmosphere
26/07/2025: A restaurant that's an institution: 72 years of Livorno tradition passed down from father to son, with authentic, straightforward, and unfussy cuisine. You come to Antico Moro for one thing: fresh fish, cooked to perfection.
The raw fish is excellent, served simply and with great respect for the ingredients, and the appetizer of polenta crostini with seafood sauce is a real treat. The first courses are very good, rich and flavorful, like the penne with crab. But it's when grilled that the fish is at its best: sea bass, bream, sea bass... they bring it to the table for you to choose. It's truly the best grilled fish I've ever eaten. I say this as a Palermitan accustomed to recognizing and eating good fish. Perfectly cooked, authentic flavor, white meat, the scent of the real sea.
It's a family-run restaurant, and you can taste it. The atmosphere is warm and sincere; you feel like a guest, not a customer. Anyone who loves authentic seafood will find their home here.
And finally, I love the chocolate gelato and Livorno-style punch, served as tradition dictates.

My father-in-law has been coming here for at least 60 years, before my partner was born. So, too, I've embraced this true Livorno family tradition with great pleasure (and happiness for my taste buds).
