Expectations were high, but the reality wasn't. The dish was cooked as I would at home, and the quality of the ingredients was mediocre. The gruff host is a recurring character in Roman tradition, but a little attention, friendliness, and hospitality wouldn't hurt.

Fantastic dinner at this classic Roman trattoria! Recently we had such a nice dinner here! As a starter we ordered parma ham with mozzarella, and it was absolutely delicious, also the supplì and crocchette were crispy and full of flavour. The tagliata with porcini was tender and rich, while the meatballs with mashed potatoes felt like true Italian comfort food. Warm service, cozy atmosphere, and a real local charm, highly recommended for an authentic Roman evening

Typical family-run restaurant, good artichokes alla giudia, I had a very good matriciana, my husband an excellent carbonara, saltimbocca alla romana, very tender meat and to finish an exceptional zabaglione mousse, we will definitely return!

03/07/2025: On a very hot day, this place turned out to be a perfect refuge to stop and eat. The atmosphere immediately conveys tranquility and welcome, thanks also to the kind and helpful staff. The exterior may seem a bit neglected, but don't be fooled: the quality of the food is truly excellent. I ordered a raw fish that smelled of the sea and freshness, accompanied by a side of sautéed chicory, tasty and well prepared. The restaurant is also easily reachable by metro (Line A - red), and is an ideal choice not only for a relaxed lunch, but also for business dinners thanks to the large and well-organized spaces. Highly recommended!

Trattoria dal Cordaro

03/12/2024: Buon locale, piccolo all’interno più spazioso all’esterno, col giardino aperto anche d’inverno, tra i caloriferi a fungo, per i più temerari. Buona la carbonara, l’amatriciana e la grigia con i carciofi. Stesso vale per le polpette al sugo, gli involtini serviti con salsiccia e fagioli. Pane ottimo che viene addebitato a parte. Crostata con ricotta e visciole e cheescake ai frutti di bosco a chiusura di una buona cena nel complesso. Servizio classico romano, con personale di sala simpatico, diretto e professionale allo stesso tempo!
18/11/2024: Ritengo giusto definire questo locale una Trattoria in quanto ristorante caratteristico di elevato livello. Location ben curata con stupendo giardino esterno, piatti sublimi con ottimi prodotti e preparazione accurata, personale gentile e professionale. Bellissima serata da ricordare
