Excellent typical Roman dinner in a not very touristy restaurant. It was all truly delicious. I recommend carbonara and artichokes. !

I visited the Ristorante (restaurant), which opened in 1860 near Veneto Street, because it served classic Roman cuisine. I made a reservation using Google Maps, but it wasn't a big deal if I didn't.
I was worried because I didn't know anything about it in advance other than that it was a long-established restaurant, but the menu was compact so I was able to order easily. However, because it is in an expensive neighborhood, the prices are quite high.
It was dinner at this time, and I had a really good breakfast and lunch that day, so I simply ordered one antipasti and one pasta. The wine was white to match the food, and since it's Roman, I drank it from Lazio.
For pairing, it was a daily wine of the Chardonnay variety with a touch of oak, so it went well. It was dry with good minerals, so it went especially well with pasta.
For the antipasti, I chose veal carpaccio, similar to sekondi. Arugula and pear were placed on top of thin tenderloin without any fat, and the taste was as light as you can feel from its very simple appearance.
Because it was veal and tenderloin, the umami and meatiness were weak, but the texture was very soft, so the presence of arugula and pear was greatly felt. It would have been better with a little pepper, but I just ate it.
For pasta, I tried spaghetti vongole and was surprised that it had a stronger buttery taste than I expected. It was different from the vongole I was used to, with a strong clam flavor and a spiciness that pierced your nose.
Since it was spaghetti, the soup was absorbed into the noodles enough to coat the noodles, but it did not feel oily in the mouth. With a bit of exaggeration, carbonara came to mind, but it was clearly not the vongole I was expecting.

This place left me speechless. The service 5 star. They accommodated us and we ate there 2 nights in a row.
Cacio e Pepe and Amatriciana were heavenly and I just really enjoyed dining there. I highly recommend this place and Fabrizio is a true gentleman

Moving slightly away from the main tourist routes around the Villa Borghese, we came across this gem which seems to be an institution in the neighborhood. And what a joy to have stopped there. We can quickly see that here we are far from a tourist restaurant, we will have to be a little adaptive to communicate but that is what we are looking for. We want to eat where the locals eat, not the tourists. It was, we didn't have any real difficulties. The menu is in English and the staff can speak English well enough to offer you quality service. We enjoyed osso bucco and saltimbocca to die for and succulent desserts. Special mention to the panacotta which tastes like heaven. All for a very sweet addition. The style of nugget that we are happy to discover. Go there with your eyes closed.

Ottima cena, vini eccellenti, servizio fantastico. Facilitati dalla conoscenza diretta del proprietario da parte di alcuni amici, siamo stati ottimamente consigliati sui cibi e sui vini. Davvero ottimi i primi (pasta con vongole squisite e pasta con 'nduja), buonissimi anche gli antipasti (carciofi alla romana, parmigiana di carciofi), agnello scottadito squisito e morbido. Per non parlare dei dolci!
