I visited Ristorante (restaurant) that opened in 1860 near Via Veneto for dinner because it serves classic Roman cuisine. I made a reservation using Google Maps, but it didn’t matter if I didn’t.
I was worried because I hadn’t looked up anything in advance, but the menu was compact and easy to order. However, since it’s in an expensive neighborhood, the prices were quite high.
I ate a lot for lunch that morning, so I ordered just one antipasti and one pasta. I drank white wine to match the food, and since I was in Rome, I drank Lazio wine, which is typical of Rome.
For the pairing, it was a daily wine made of Chardonnay with a touch of oak, so it went well overall. It was dry and mineral, so it went especially well with pasta.
For the antipasti, I chose veal carpaccio, which is like secondo. I put arugula and pears on top of thin veal tenderloin without any fat, and as you can tell from the very simple visual, the taste was also light.
Since it was veal and the part was tenderloin, the savory flavor and meatiness were a bit weak, but the texture was very soft, so the presence of arugula and pears was greatly felt. It would have been better if I had added a little pepper, but I just ate it.
I tried vongole spaghetti for pasta, and it was surprisingly buttery. It was different from the vongole I knew before, which had a strong clam savory flavor and a spicy taste that stung my nose.
Since it was spaghetti, the noodles absorbed the soup well enough to cover it, but it didn't leave my mouth feeling oily. I thought of carbonara with a little exaggeration, and it was clear that it didn't taste like the vongole I expected.

Chosen somewhat at random after a stroll in Borghese Park. The terrace overlooks a quiet street, making it quiet. The waiter is friendly, helpful, and offers good advice.
Inside, you can see the chefs preparing the dishes.
The restrooms are very clean.
For lunch, we chose lasagna and spinach and ricotta ravioli.

Gorgeous restaurant in the heart of Rome. So close to our hotel. Amazing food, great staff and such a warm.and inviting place.
Their Saltimbocca alla Romana was to die for. Although a dish from the Northern regions their Vitello Tonnato has a very special place in my heart. Their Cacio e Pepe WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. The authenticity was unreal. Even our daughter's pasta con burro was so simple yet stunning. Perfectly vooked pasta and generously coated with Italian butter!! Mama mia!! A definite must visit to this spot.
Wish they were more liberal on their olive oil and balsamic vinegar drizzles on our plates for our bread. All in all MAGNIFICO! BRAVO PEPPONE!!

The food isn't all that amazing, but everything is good. I had an unpleasant experience at a pizza place other than this one, not sure if it was racism or just unfriendliness, but the servers here were very friendly. great.

I ordered artichoke, ragu pasta, and carbonara and served it with white wine. I visited Secretly after reading her blog, the price was reasonable and the pasta was really delicious!! The server was really friendly, and he even gave me cookies to go with the wine, which really touched me!
I would like to visit next time I come to Rome!

Although recommended by our hotel, this place was a disappointment. The food was quite good but it was overshadowed by the poor attitude, and indifferent service of the staff. We watched as the staff visibly rolled their eyes at patrons, dismissed people looking for a reservation and provided no sense of hospitality at all. The pasta was quite good and we both enjoyed dessert as well. Perhaps it was just a bad night but it seemed like the entire staff didn’t want to serve any customers!

Excellent food in this old Roma family restaurant. The veal is tender and tasty, the squid salad is fresh and juicy, the spaghetti is just perfect ! Plus the friendly service,It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Roma.

Un restaurante de propiedad familiar con la familia sirviendo. A pocos pasos de Via Veneto. Solo unos pocos elementos si la elección en el menú pero todo fresco. Tomé la carbonara que resultó ser el día nacional de la carbonara en Roma un plato que definitivamente reclaman como propio. Compartimos una Saltimbocca Romana que era excelente. El restaurante nos lo recomendó nuestro conserje del hotel. El restaurante era tan bueno que volvimos una segunda noche. El restaurante es pequeño, así que recomendaría una reserva. El restaurante está cerrado el domingo o probablemente habríamos ido una tercera vez

Che dire , bel locale , appena si entra , ti accolgono i titolari , e subito capisci in che locale ti trovi , la gentilezza e la professionalità si percepiscono immediatamente, locale molto accogliente, con cucina ottima e piatti ben curati e ottimi vini , sicuramente in locali così non si puoi altro che starci bene ...ci torneremo
