Pensione Ristorante Jaegerhof In Sarentino

During my visit from September 14-21, 2025, I had a single room with half board. Three other friends stayed in one of the holiday apartments (3 rooms with shared bathroom and living room). A reasonable price comparable to an Alpine Club hut but considerably more comfortable; A simple but cozy room with a balcony, TV, wardrobe, and shower; A sauna area in the basement with a sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, Kneipp pool, and relaxation area; Half board with breakfast featuring muesli, fruit, bread, cold cuts, and jams; and Dinner usually included a salad buffet, primo (pasta, strudel, etc.), secondo (meat, fish), and dessert, although the latter three were varied and different every day during my week at the Jägerhof; a fairly full Sunday buffet; and one evening of a fantastic cheese tasting with fruit and jams. We were also lucky with the weather during the week: drizzle one day before breakfast, but otherwise, sunshine every day. The surrounding hiking area is relatively quiet, even away from the lifts and ski area above Reinswald. Except for the trails from Reinswald to the Latzfonser Kreuz and the Totenkirchl (and Villanderer), I hardly encountered any other hikers. The trails and ridges of Lorenzen-Schrotthorn-Pfannspitz-Jakobsspitz, Muttnellspitz-Hochscheibe-Schönjöchl-Gentersbergspitze-Leiterspitz, and Pfattenspitz-Getrumspitze were particularly pleasantly secluded. I'd love to come back and hope for good weather.

I recently had a wonderful stay at the Jägerhof and I'm still thrilled! As someone who travels regularly, I can say this is one of the best experiences I've ever had. From arrival to departure, I felt at home – with only the luxury of a beautiful wellness area with sauna, impeccable cuisine, and exceptional hosts. I'll definitely be back! First, the hosts: They are the heart of this hotel! The owners, a friendly couple, accommodated our requests for vegetarian or lactose-free food. Throughout our stay, they repeatedly checked in to see if everything was okay, without being intrusive. It felt like visiting friends in a professional hotel setting. Such hospitality is unfortunately rare these days, but here it's standard! The sauna is an absolute highlight and perfect for anyone seeking relaxation. The hotel has a modern wellness oasis with a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, and a whirlpool. Everything is spotlessly clean, with high-quality infusions that you can measure yourself. After a day of hiking, I spent hours there – the wellness area is spacious, with comfortable loungers and a balcony for cooling off. For couples or solo travelers, this is the ideal place to leave everyday life behind. The prices here are always fair and definitely worth the experience. Now for the cuisine – wow, simply fantastic! The hotel's own restaurant offers impeccable craftsmanship, always leaving you feeling full and satisfied. Vegetarians and people with lactose intolerance were always able to find something equally good in our group. The rooms are also top-notch: spacious, modernly furnished with comfortable beds, some with balconies, and all amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi and a modern bathroom. The hotel's location in the mountains is ideal for nature lovers – quiet, yet close to activities. No flaws, everything was perfectly maintained. In summary: If you're looking for a hotel that offers relaxation (sauna), culinary delights (superb cuisine), and genuine hospitality (friendly hosts), the Jägerhof is the absolute top choice. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your wonderful hospitality. We were spontaneously allowed to use the wellness area at the Jägerhof, even though we weren't guests. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious dinner. The beautiful surroundings and the very pleasant stay in the fantastic wellness area made for a wonderful day.

We visited the restaurant twice and enjoyed decent local dishes at the usual prices. The portions are also reasonable. Reservations are highly recommended, as the majority of the guests are the pensioners. The staff is friendly, and the schnapps tastes excellent.

We stayed at this property for a weekend and had a wonderful time. The rooms are beautiful with a nice bathroom. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again.

Very nicely situated hotel at the end of the valley. The food (half board) is well taken care of, neat service and nicely served. Nice base for walking (or touring with the motorbike). Walks at different levels (easy to sure-footed). Recommended.

This place is charming. It is one of the best hidden gems, the food is incredible, the facilities super clean and the staff charming. We have been there 3 times now and we just want to go back.

Great pizaria with quick service and the pizza is simply delicious. Price performance ratio very good. Can only be recommended 👍👍👍
