Pasticeria Lida In Genova

I've had the pleasure of tasting the delicious cakes prepared by this historic pastry shop in Sestri on several occasions, and I immediately fell in love. The fresh pastries are equally excellent and high-quality. You absolutely must try the Mojito cake (or a single portion), which is probably only made in the summer. It's exceptional, perfect, and you can taste the flavors of all the ingredients, perfectly balanced. I love it!!! The owners and staff are always welcoming, friendly, and kind; you can see the passion they put into their work. Undoubtedly my favorite pastry shop in all of Genoa.

A historic pastry shop and shop in Sestri, I remember it well already in the mid-seventies when I was just starting elementary school. Then, over the years, and especially with the renovations a couple of years ago, if I'm not mistaken, it also became an excellent café with the pastry shop as its "pièce de résistance." If you ask Germana or her pastry chef brothers (I went to high school with Giorgio!), they will be able to advise and help you with anything (with the utmost expertise and courtesy of those who have been in this profession all their lives!), from cakes to pastries, and with a variety of prices... obviously, the better the product, the more you pay. I've read of people who complained about this very important factor, but I can assure you that, as already said, just ask for an estimate first and then they will adjust based on your needs, as is done everywhere nowadays!
