Historic place since the 70s, a staple of Padua with its own laboratory attached. When you enter you are surrounded by a heady scent of pastries, croissants of all types, plus mini pastries, from tarts to desserts from the fridge, there is a good choice of chocolate and you can also find savory jams, varying between pizzas and sandwiches, the place is not very large but welcoming and bright, it also has a toilet but not for disabled people ♿ parking in front, these are quite crowded during peak hours because there are very tasty things, loyal customers are open every day from 5am to 1.30pm.. On a negative note, they don't have milk 🥛 or croissants 🥐 for the intolerant or aperitifs 🍹.

La Cittadella drink&food

16/07/2025: I celebrated my graduation aperitif at La Cittadella bar. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating to every need. They also decorated the room with themed decorations. The food was plentiful, and all my guests enjoyed it. I would like to thank the owner and the staff again for the wonderful afternoon we spent at this event.
15/07/2025: The great managers welcomed us for a graduation party. The food consisted of snacks—pizza, sandwiches, panzerotti, tramezzini, and more—in abundance, and everything was delicious. We drank carafes of exceptional spritz, prosecco, water, coffee, and gelato in a cool, air-conditioned atmosphere. Well done, and thank you 😃👍

01/07/2025: Great food with typical dishes. Kindness and availability. Very good onion soup, of a superior level! Also good are the bigoli with ragù di corte. Not cheap, but great quality food. We will return!
19/06/2025: Dinner for two, I needed to spend a special evening and I had a great time. The atmosphere is refined and the owner, Mario di Natale, was very kind from the start, making us feel at ease. We started with a really good small entrée (zucchini flowers, vegetables and very thin puff pastry), then a spectacular octopus appetizer with burrata and croutons and a second course of tuna on a sweet and sour base that was perfectly balanced. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest details, from the service to the dishes. The surprise even at the cash register with the final discount! I take responsibility in highly recommending this place.
