Pasticceria Tombolato In Padova

A place of perdition for good intentions, because those who enter will be tempted beyond their wildest dreams. I've tried the breakfast several times (to make the sample meaningful), which is a parade of delicious options. Continuing to highlight the winning products by merit, my first choice is La Speciale (coffee-flavored bread with cooked cream and apricots). Whoever thought of adding coffee to the brioche dough should be recognized as a benefactor. Whoever thought of pairing this base with the cooked cream and apricot duo should receive an honor. Second place goes to the brioche with cooked cream. Third place goes to the chocolate financiers, which would fall under the category of tray sins, but are a quick, Michelin-starred breakfast, the perfect companion to coffee. The place also offers savory indulgence (mini pizzas, super sandwiches, assorted savory snacks). Everything can be enjoyed sitting inside or outside overlooking Prato della Valle😍. The only downside...the service isn't very cheerful (it can be worked), but what they serve makes you forget everything. I can't wait to come back 🤩😎

Yesterday afternoon, October 23, 2025, I visited Pasticceria Tombolato. Even though I was there to shelter from the rain, I could already sense the welcoming and delightful atmosphere of the place, with its flowers, sofas, and a counter filled with countless sweets and pastries of a thousand colors and shapes, so tempting. But the person who welcomed and served us was also delightful, despite there being fifteen of us. She was kind, witty, and ready to take orders and accommodate everyone. The quality of the food and drinks was excellent. Beautiful mugs and cups. In short, an experience worth repeating more often. I think the croissants and their puff pastry fillings are excellent in general, as are the other pastries. The only flaw is the prices, which are far above average—not so much for the croissants, but especially for the pastries (e.g., fruit tarts). I want to reiterate, however, that technically, the latter was truly excellent: the shortcrust pastry base was crisp and golden, the cream was velvety, and the fruit was perfectly ripe. Congratulations!

Beautiful location, a bit of a cool breeze on a hot day visiting Padua at Santo... Wide selection of treats... croissants 🥐, savory and sweet... quiche, toast... and many, many desserts... Friendly, welcoming staff, and the classic Paduan cordiality...

I've been there several times, I came back because I had never eaten brioches like this, really good! Then I bought a cake for my daughter's birthday, that was also good..

Very clean and welcoming place, very kind and smiling staff, the croissants are good but not excellent and I must say a little small.

I came in at 10 in the morning for breakfast, and I wondered, since it's a pastry shop, they should have brioches, and... strangely enough, not even a brioche. I understand that other pastry shops are always well stocked. This one isn't. For me, that's a negative. It was the first and last time I've been in.

Un'ottima pasticcera nella via principale di Ponte di Brenta e a pochi minuti da Padova. Buon caffè e buona cheesecake.

5 stars more than deserved! Excellent environment at 360°: from the service, to the pastry. Very clean toilets, a not insignificant detail. Very friendly staff.
