Pasticceria Scalvini In Noli

This year, Scalvini was my go-to breakfast spot during the August holidays. I chose to alternate a bit of everything from one morning to the next, trying various products: I started with a slice of classic Ligurian white focaccia (here without lard); with whole wheat and whole wheat with added seeds. I continued with the brioche with just the right amount of sweet jam and a cream bombolone, perhaps a little too fried—I didn't digest it very well. I finished with the vegan brioche with green stripes and finally with puff pastry squares filled with ham and stracchino cheese. I went every morning when they opened, even though Ilaria makes you wait a few minutes... but the products and her friendliness definitely make it worth it.

The focaccia is really good, fresh, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired; in a place that relies heavily on tourism, you'd expect at least a smile and a little kindness.

Come al solito quando vado a Noli non posso fare a meno di passare da questa fantastica pasticceria. Normalmente mi fermo per gli squisiti amaretti che ormai sono veri must eat per i momenti di golosità miei e della mia famiglia. Questa volta ho provato il loro cubotto alla crema chantilly con frutti di bosco. Devo dire una vera delizia. Nulla da invidiare ad altri cubotti che avevo già assaggiato in giro per esempio quello famosissimo di Torino tanto pubblicizzato da una nota influencer e anche quello di un'altra super nota e premiata pasticceria della collina torinese. Questo è morbido ma croccante al tempo stesso sicuramente frutto di un'ottima materia prima e lievitazione, la farcia abbondante è da urlo. Insomma se sei goloso potrebbe creare dipendenza. Tornerò sicuramente a provare anche gli altri gusti di cubotto per esempio pistacchio o nocciola. Complimenti al pasticcere e anche al personale di servizio al banco per la gentilezza e la competenza nella spiegazione dei prodotti
