Pasticceria Scalvini In Noli

Sweet or savory? There's not much to say... Everything was delicious and highly recommended! The staff was top notch!

This year, Scalvini was my go-to breakfast spot during the August holidays. I chose to alternate a bit of everything from one morning to the next, trying various products: I started with a slice of classic Ligurian white focaccia (here without lard); with whole wheat and whole wheat with added seeds. I continued with the brioche with just the right amount of sweet jam and a cream bombolone, perhaps a little too fried—I didn't digest it very well. I finished with the vegan brioche with green stripes and finally with puff pastry squares filled with ham and stracchino cheese. I went every morning when they opened, even though Ilaria makes you wait a few minutes... but the products and her friendliness definitely make it worth it.

The focaccia is really good, fresh, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired; in a place that relies heavily on tourism, you'd expect at least a smile and a little kindness.
