We've been coming to the Hotel Helvetia for five years now, and the Cipensoio restaurant is a guarantee. Excellent service and consistently delicious food.

Truly top-notch dishes, beautifully presented and with an excellent selection of ingredients. The staff is very polite and friendly. This is our second time back and we'll continue to do so.

13/04/2026: Favourite meal I had while in Trieste at this traditional trattoria. Everything we ordered was delicious - boiled meat platter for 2, veal schnitzel & gnocchi with goulash in pictures. Very reasonably priced at €90 including a carafe of house white wine (a lot of food for 2 people but we wanted to try everything!). The restaurant was very quiet at lunchtime on a Thursday, we walked in without a reservation.

23/12/2025: It was my first time there, and it was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely repeat it. The place is very spacious and well-decorated, yet simple. Customers are welcomed right away, and the dishes start arriving in less than 10 minutes! I chose ALL YOU CAN EAT, so I gradually chose and ordered the dishes from the tablet I had on the table! The food was very good quality, the flavors were very distinct, and the dishes were balanced! Sorry, no photos. Go and see.
