Excellent cake shop in Salerno’s Centro Storico area. Beautiful decor and displays of the pastries and cakes. Welcoming staff. I got a couple of pastries and they were outstanding!

Today I purposely went to this historic pastry shop to try their famous Mont Blanc.
Being Monday I must say that there was quite a shortage of products, the cake display was not well stocked, but luckily there was one last Mont Blanc left on the counter which the clerk kindly suggested I cut if the size was too large.
I must say that the cake is fantastic, balanced, very delicate. I will definitely return to try other delicacies.

Estoy de acuerdo con otros en que el personal podría ser más amable, pero estos postres son tan deliciosos! El hombre mayor trabajando parecía un poco impaciente que nos tomamos algunos minutos para decidir sobre nuestras elecciones, pero no había otros clientes allí, así que no estábamos retrasando el negocio. No hay mesas - estrictamente a - ir a lugar. Elegimos tres artículos y los tres eran simplemente maravillosos. Comimos dos de inmediato y no tuvimos el tercero hasta dos días después, y todavía estaba delicioso y no se volvió rancio o seco en absoluto. Los precios eran muy baratos (para los estándares estadounidenses).

Historic pastry shop that holds the famous "scazzetta" brand, a good but not excellent dessert in my opinion. Worthy of note, however, is Mont Blanc which I absolutely recommend. The witch's cake is another gem worth trying. All the desserts are of great quality, although the price is a little too high for me. It is also not possible to consume on site and the service leaves something to be desired. The furnishings are characterized by a wonderful antique style which, together with the traditional delicacies and flavours, make this place a pearl in the center of Salerno and an absolutely must-visit stop!

La Pasticceria Pantaleone di Salerno mi ha conquistato con il suo Montblanc, un dolce davvero sublime! La combinazione di castagne, panna, e crema di cioccolato è semplicemente perfetta, creando un'esplosione di sapori delicati e avvolgenti. Il tutto poggia su una base di pasta sfoglia che aggiunge croccantezza e leggerezza al dolce, rendendolo ancora più irresistibile.
La dolcezza delle castagne, la cremosità della panna e la profondità del cioccolato si mescolano in un equilibrio straordinario. Si percepisce la qualità degli ingredienti e l'abilità dei pasticceri nel creare una prelibatezza che sa tanto di tradizione.
Se vi trovate a Salerno, non potete assolutamente perdere l'occasione di provare questa prelibatezza!
