Pasticceria Leopolda In Firenze

Super friendly staff, especially the two ladies 😉, excellent pastries and sandwiches!!

When sleep is over at 4.30 am there's Bar Leopolda, or Moka Arra, to give you caffeine and baked goods to start the day. Being 24 hour is very helpful.

The sweets were mediocre; they could be much better. The place is nice and spacious, and the waitress was friendly.

I've been a regular customer for many years. I can say this pastry shop is convenient because it's always open: 24 hours a day. A wide selection of sandwiches, and the variety and quality of the artisanal pastries are also very good. I'm sorry, but I feel like reporting that on Thursday afternoon, November 13, 2025 (in the absence of the owner), the young man at the counter, whose name I don't know, who supports Napoli like he was in a stadium, did not provide good service: used coffee cups and saucers were left next to me for several minutes without being collected—I should point out that no other customer was there at the time—then collected very noisily while the young man complained that he no longer felt like working. The cappuccino was runny and had a sour aftertaste, not as creamy and excellent as other staff usually prepare. He had a runny nose that he wiped with his hand, without a tissue (hopefully he washed his hands afterwards, since he also touches the pastries with his hands when plating them). And to top off this negative experience, he didn't even respond to my greeting before leaving the bar. Furthermore, he's known for engaging in low-level and vulgar conversations with another customer. From now on, when I see he's on duty, I'll go to another bar nearby!

Good pastries and good coffee, but not very friendly. It's perfectly fine for a quick bakery visit, but I wouldn't want to linger.
