Pasticceria Gelateria Caffetteria HELENA In Veglie

A beautiful and casual discovery: on the way back from Porto Cesareo we stopped in Veglie for breakfast. First we found another place, Roxy, which is only an ice cream shop and very kindly directed us to Helena to have our first meal of the day. What can I say, truly excellent quality, croissants as good as you would not find in much more populous and well-equipped towns and top quality biscuits, pastries and coffee. I lowered the rating for the service only because you have to bring things to the table yourself as well as clear the table and because seeing employees with their cell phones on duty is never nice: I understand in times of lack of public, but with a full place it is not the best. In any case it is a must visit if you happen to be in those parts, and I regret not having been able to try the ice cream shop too.
