Excellent local pastry shop - a pre-purchase lesson on the products was offered by the assistant, Mrs. Fernanda, who combines expertise with kindness and encouraged me to try local products so much that I returned the next morning! The master pastry chef still supervises every stage of production.

Not just a pastry shop in Lecce, but THE pastry shop in Lecce, the most beloved by locals. Its location makes it difficult for tourists to discover it by chance, as they would rush it! San Lazzaro is a nice neighborhood, but it's certainly not the most popular with outsiders. The pastries are unbeatable, as are the kindness of the owner and staff. Highly recommended for any occasion! 👍

Thanks to the recommendation of several Lecce residents, we discovered the Franchini pastry shop. It was an unforgettable experience from the moment we walked in! The welcome was all-encompassing: the aroma of the products, the full and inviting counter, the friendly and smiling staff, and the impressive presence of Maestro Franco only completed what was a journey through the flavors of Lecce. The best pastry shop in Lecce! Long-standing and loyal customers for decades. Franchini's pastry shop never disappoints; the flavors always evoke the flavors of yesteryear, making it feel like a step back in time. The Chantilly cakes and cassata are unparalleled, as are the almond paste desserts. The rustico is the absolute best in Lecce and its province. The gelato is also excellent, with a few flavors, but classic Salento treats, such as the exceptional almond flavor. We couldn't live without Franchini's delicacies!

05/01/2026: First time at Gioré, excellent experience. Very pretty and charming location, converted from a 17th-century oil mill, expertly renovated. Impeccable welcome and very friendly, polite, and precise service. We tried the tagliolini with wild boar ragù, very good and a generous portion. The potato gnocchi with saffron and monkfish were truly delicious 😋, very fresh and delicate but rich in flavor. The duck CBT was very good, especially the combination with the pumpkin sauce. The desserts are also well-crafted: the dark chocolate cake was delicious, and the tiramisu was a surprise, especially for its unusual, evocative, and innovative plating 😄🤩. Absolutely not to be overlooked is the selection of homemade breads, three different types (whole wheat, white, and pumpkin), delicious and ideal for enjoying a glass of good Salento olive oil 👍👍. The quality/price ratio is medium-high, but the ingredients are expensive and the dishes are worth it... Well done everyone, congratulations guys 🍷👏👏, a great evening with great background music 🎶, a relaxing atmosphere. We'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu.
