Excellent breakfast, cappuccino and juice well made, shame about the poor service. And THERE WERE NO BRIOCHES.

I go to this pastry shop every morning for breakfast. The croissants are delicious with any filling (I've personally tried cream/chocolate/jam). If I can make a tiny point, the percentage of jam in the croissants should be increased (but that's just my preference). In my opinion, one of the best pastry shops in Cremona. Highly recommended.

As soon as you enter, the period furnishings, mirrors, and wood paneling transport you back in time. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, with that authentic flavor that is increasingly rare today. The quality is evident and palpable, especially at breakfast: I always order the brioche with homemade orange marmalade, a delight. It has that perfect hint of bitterness, balancing the sweetness without overpowering it—it's become a must-try for me. But Dondeo isn't just brioche: it's also excellent pastries. Cakes, mini pastries, cannoncini, and the famous "Africane" pastries are a delight for the palate. The staff is friendly, the prices are fair (a coffee costs about €1.10!), and the service is quick, although—it must be said—there's a bit of a wait at peak times, which is understandable for such a beloved establishment. In short, Dondeo is a place I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for a truly Italian breakfast, well-made, in a historic and authentic setting. Make a note of it: it's worth every bite and every minute of the wait.
