09/12/2025: This café and pastry shop in Porto Ceresio, just steps from the lake, is a little gem waiting to be discovered. The color pink literally envelops the place, designed with evocative lighting (the tulips hanging from the ceiling) and unique furnishings.
Approaching the counter, you'll notice how all the products are conceived as small works of art, crafted with care and respect for the raw materials. A true celebration of combinations of shapes and colors. A beautiful selection of miniature pastries (hard to choose, I recommend trying the ones that blend bitter chocolate, salty caramel, tart raspberry, and fresh pistachio), biscuits, chocolates, and take-out items are displayed in a row. Kudos to the packaging: not just a simple wrapper, but boxes and little boxes complete with logo and ribbon. A designer touch, even for a small gift.
And then, the refrigerated display case, with strawberry and dark chocolate mousse. Last but not least, the riot of sugary aromas of macarons, a typical French pastry, where two soft shells meet a delicate ganache.
A fun fact: in Milanese dialect, the word "ofelè" means "pastry chef."
