11/07/2025: We chose Agriturismo del Pozzo to spend our last evening in Calabria in a typical local atmosphere, and we didn't regret it. We were welcomed with warmth and kindness in a beautiful setting. We dined on the farmhouse's ancient portico, overlooking the surrounding countryside and hills. As often happens in these types of establishments, there was no need to order anything: as soon as we sat down, we received water and wine (red, perfect for the cool evening and the food), then came the appetizers (an excellent peperonata, stuffed peppers, eggplant meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, fried zucchini flowers, an excellent capocollo, pancetta, cheese, ricotta, and the typical lestopitte). After the appetizers, it was time for the first courses (two generous portions of homemade pasta, one with meat sauce and the other with peppers and sausage, both very fragrant) and the second courses (pork rolls and a mixed grill, with a side of baked potatoes and salad), and finally desserts and fruit (chocolate roll with cream and watermelon). Local liqueurs rounded out the evening, along with a pleasant chat with the owner and a very fair bill (35 euros per person). We will definitely be back.
