Agree on the price of the dessert beforehand if you don't want to LOVE surprises later. I came in to order a meringue pie: the lady showed me a rectangular one "for 12 people." Displayed price: €33 I asked her if she could make a round one, and she said yes. "Perfect," I said, "but just to be safe, make it for 15 people." I thought three extra portions (3!) wouldn't have much of an impact on the price. Upon collection, the surprise: the price was €52!!! I asked for an explanation, since I couldn't believe that 12 portions cost €33 and three extra portions cost almost €20. The answer: "When it's round, the portions are more generous and the price is based on weight." So: go ahead (the "dessert" was good, no complaints about the quality), but AGREE ON THE PRICE NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOVE SURPRISES!!! It's a shame because I had good memories of this pastry shop.
