Pasticceria Apollo13 In Anzio

A historic restaurant located on the coast near Lavinio. We met with a few others for breakfast, featuring croissants and good coffee. The tables outside were clean, and the seating was spacious and comfortable. No one rushed us, and we were able to converse freely.

I liked the giant yellow sign better, but try the Danish pastries... Super! The fried donuts are equally as good, and so is the rest of the pastry. The service is simple but efficient; sometimes there aren't enough tables, but mostly because of the customers' lack of civility.

The donuts and croissants, besides being clearly handmade, are huge and delicious without being overpriced. The place is a little rustic and old-fashioned, but that's okay. You eat outside, with tables under the canopy. The only flaw—and unfortunately, it's a common problem in Italy, where we're quite behind—is that smoking isn't prohibited, even though it's a place where you eat. It would be a nice leap towards civilization and modernity. The only reason for the one star reduction.

The best croissants, bombs, gigantic donuts, and delicious Danish pastries? What the heck am I saying!!!! And so much more, and at prices like a regular cafe, but three times higher.

They advertise opening hours as 11 PM, but it's 10 PM and closed. I'm giving it 3 stars as a neutral rating, but I'm waiting for them to post more accurate hours.

Service exceeded expectations, qualified and helpful staff, high-quality artisanal pastries. The birthday party buffet was excellent, and the cake was delicious too... highly recommended!

In Lavinio it is a must for breakfast!!! The Danish of Apollo 13 is famous throughout the Roman coast for those who want a perfect breakfast. The Danish is among the most requested desserts that boasts a tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation. But there are also donuts, bombs, croissants and other leavened products, all strictly "extra large", with quality products and with absolutely honest prices for what is offered. There is no comparison that holds up with the competition! When I am in Lavinio, I can't wait for breakfast to arrive 😄 As the Lonely Planet saying goes, it is worth the trip!!! Try it and believe it!!! Then you will tell me Well done to the managers. Keep it up
