Mmm...Pasticceria Adriatica, a real treat. In Montesilvano, on Via San Francesco, you're greeted by the exquisite aroma that wafts daily, immediately stimulating your taste buds. At the outdoor tables, people regularly gather to enjoy those sweet treats. The same situation occurs in the welcoming side room, where beautiful windows overlooking the exterior frame the tables adorned with elegant floral accents. In the main room, upon entering, an excellent semicircular bar area staffed by courteous and knowledgeable staff joins two well-stocked display cases showcasing the confectionery gems of Pasticceria ADRIATICA, master pastry chefs for fifty years. Worthy of note is the variety of cakes, tarts, and ring cakes, and on special holidays, excellent artisanal panettone. Furthermore, miniature pastries of every taste, flavor, and color force you to forget about overdoing it. All this is topped off by the courtesy, sophistication, and expertise of the entire sales staff. And let's not forget everyone who works behind the scenes, in the lab. Kudos to everyone.

The cycle path on the Adriatic coast, in the Montesilvano Roseto degli Abruzzi section, is not only an extraordinarily well-made artifact but it also makes a decades-old dream come true: to make cycling along this important and very picturesque stretch of the Abruzzo coast safe and pleasantly panoramic. Every infrastructure: bridges, road surface, crossings, etc. has been built impeccably; no detail lends itself to criticism of any kind. All this has made excursions along this highly sought-after stretch attractive, which is why, while travelling along it, you often come across groups of very well-organized excursionist cruisers. A work that comes at the most propitious moment, the advent of electric bicycles which, although very useful in their conception, are clearly dangerous due to the impossible coexistence between them and traditional bicycles and the imprudence with which electric-powered cycles are ridden by, often irresponsible, cyclists. The only detail to pay attention to is the high density of “Moschini” insects in the rural stretch that goes from Pineto to Roseto degli Abruzzi.

The food is excellent, really: carefully made desserts, fresh ingredients, full flavor. You can tell they know what they're doing in the lab. But then... the juice. Good God, the juice. An unworthy thing, sour as a rancid lemon, with a chemical aftertaste that makes you regret even the idea of having been thirsty. After two sips I began to doubt my life choices. But the worst? They make you pay 3 euros. Three. For a gastric attack served in a bottle. It's as if someone had squeezed out contempt and sold it as a drink. An insult to the palate and the wallet.
I'll go back for the desserts, yes. But if I see that juice in the fridge again, I swear I'll change bars.
