PastaRun In Siracusa

The sign caught our eye ("eat pasta, run fasta!") and the highly positive reviews and rating made us want to try it. We ended up eating here every day while staying nearby in Siracusa. The best pasta we ate on our trip to Italy, and so very well priced. (Great arancini as well. The cheap wine selection was good and cheap.) The pasta alla norma, Siricusana, and the spaghetti el vongole (with clams) were our favourites. Wish we had more time to try them all but we kept going back to these winners. Great, friendly service as well - super nice staff (I believe it is a husband and wife team who owns and runs it). We are missing this place already.. I wish we could bring this restaurant and its staff/owners back to Canada with us!

I caught a glimpse of ‚vegan arancini’ caption in the window of this place and naturally decided to check it. The owner turned out to be extremely nice, she spoke great English, which was really helpful with my zero Italian skills, we had a nice chat about veganism, I grabbed the arancin and left. It was so delicious I decided to come back and check the pastas. They eagerly veganised pasta Syracuse for me, and my wife grabbed pasta ala norma. Both were delicious, precisely cooked, aromatic and full of flavours. Portions satisfying for a 80kg male 😁. I’m really happy I found this place!

A simple, inexpensive noodle bar serving disposable containers. Small space. Low prices. Average. For quick takeaways, rather than a place to dine.
